Charity Projects

The Airdrie and District Quilt Guild is non-profit and charity based.  Each year we donate many quilts and sewn items.  We support our community through Community Links by giving them quilts to give those in need.  When there are people who lose their homes to fire in our community we also try to get quilts to them.  We have provided baby quilts to Olds Pregnancy Care Centre.  Wheelchair quilts and bags have been made and provided to Bethany Care Centre. At Christmas time we have given table runners and pillowcases to the Lioness Hamper Program to include a gift in their hampers.  We provide placemats for the Meals-On-Wheels Program in Airdrie.  We support Habitat for Humanity in Airdrie by supplying their new residences with quilts.  We respond to crises such as the floods in High River in 2013, the fires affecting Fort McMurray in 2016, the tragic Humboldt Bronco bus crash in 2018 and many more.

These are some of the items we can make to donate:

  • quilts of all sizes;  baby, small children, tweens, teenagers, and adults.
  • wheelchair quilts and bags
  • pillowcases
  • placemats
  • table runners

If you are interested in helping with these projects please contact the Guild.
